MARY GOLDEN BREED; our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, pie maker, animal shape pancake maker, navigational guide, mystery novel reader and dead-eye rabbit hunter, went to be with her heavenly Father on February 10th at the age of 85 on her 64th wedding anniversary.

Mary’s influence spanned multiple generations to include nine children and spouses, 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a large extended family. She was entirely devoted to her family which included everyone related by blood, marriage, adoption, and friendship.

Mary Golden Hill was born to Mathias and Sarah Hill of Retsil, WA, and was the youngest of three children.  She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1948 and attended the University of Washington to study Home Economics.  Mary married Arthur L.
